Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher - Telehealth Job Type Contract A part-time position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) specializing in telehealth services. This role focuses on delivering specialized educational support to students with visual impairments through remote learning platforms.
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction and support to visually impaired students via telehealth. Develop and modify educational materials tailored to the needs of students with visual impairments. Collaborate with families, school staff, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support. Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed to enhance learning outcomes. Utilize assistive technology and communication tools effectively in a virtual setting.
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) required. Experience with telehealth or remote instruction methods preferred. Strong understanding of visual impairment conditions and corresponding educational interventions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students and families in a virtual environment. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible, part-time schedule.

Position available in Brentwood, NY, with telehealth service delivery.
