In this role, you will inspire and empower adult learners and high school students preparing to earn their High School Equivalency Diploma through the HiSET exam. Your expertise in test preparation, curriculum development, and engaging instructional methods will help students achieve their academic goals. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive instruction for HiSET test subjects, including Math, Reading, Writing, Science, and Social Studies, using innovative educational technology tools. Develop and implement customized lesson plans that align with individual student needs and learning styles. Provide ACT and SAT preparation guidance to enhance students' college readiness and test performance. Utilize online tutoring platforms and in-person teaching methods to create engaging learning environments for diverse learners. Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, adjusting instruction accordingly. Incorporate classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum development, integrate educational technology, and share best practices for working with high schoolers and adult learners. Qualifications Proven experience working with high school students, teenagers, or adult learners in an educational setting. Strong background in test preparation course instruction for the HiSET, ACT, or SAT exams. Demonstrated ability to use learning technology effectively in both online and in-person tutoring environments. Excellent presentation skills with the ability to motivate and engage students of varying backgrounds. Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and educational technology integration. Experience working with students who have special education needs or require tailored instructional strategies is preferred. Exceptional writing skills and a solid understanding of test-taking strategies across multiple subjects.
