Work onsite with a dedicated team at a welcoming environment near Lincoln, RI. This role involves covering a maternity leave from mid-October through mid-January. Youll have the unique chance to guide a small group of approximately eight students, collaborating closely with three experienced teaching assistants.
Qualifications:
Active Special Education Educator Certificate required Prior experience teaching special education or relevant training Capacity to create a supportive and structured classroom environment Strong communication and team collaboration skills Ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver individualized instruction to students with high-functioning life skills needs Foster student growth through targeted lesson plans and activities Partner with teaching assistants to provide consistent support throughout the school day Maintain accurate records, report student progress, and attend IEP meetings as necessary Communicate regularly with families and staff to ensure student success
Schedule & Details:
