Qualifications and Experience:

Active Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Special Education license appropriate for Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary instruction Commitment to or completion of Rhode Island Structured Literacy proficiency within one year of hire (Right to Read Act compliance) Previous experience supporting elementary students with mild-to-moderate disabilities preferred Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver specially designed instruction to elementary students, tailoring approaches to individual learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Support students in accessing the general curriculum and fostering independence within the classroom setting Track, assess, and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure growth Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures every learner This full-time contract offers the opportunity to truly shape the educational journey of young students in a supportive, dynamic environment.
