Desired Qualifications:
Valid Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) Special Education license for the appropriate grade band (Early Childhood, Elementary, or Secondary) Compliance with the Right to
Read Act:
Certified in, or able to complete, the Rhode Island Structured Literacy proficiency within one year of hire
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction to elementary students with mild-to-moderate disabilities, adapting lessons and materials as needed Collaborate with general education staff and families for student goal-setting and support Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Maintain a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
