Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Special Education Teacher Contract for 36 weeks in Wood River Junction, Rhode Island. Provide individualized instruction and support to students with severe and multiple disabilities. Earn up to $58 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with severe and multiple disabilities Provide direct instructional support to students with Autism, ID, and other disabilities in a classroom setting Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including aides and support staff, to ensure student success and proper integration Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, behavior, and interventions Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters growth and respect for all students
Qualifications:
Severe Disabilities/Significant Disabilities Special Education certification 1 year minimum experience with related student populations Experience working with students with Autism, ID, and multiple disabilities Strong classroom support skills Ability to provide 1:1 support for students with special needs Excellent communication and teamwork skills Background checks as required for working with minors and vulnerable populations
