9620190-29906 Job Description Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting their learning and development as a Special Education Teacher in a middle school resource room. This full-time contract opportunity offers you the chance to use your expertise in special education while working within a supportive educational environment. The position is based at a junior/senior high school, where you'll work closely with students, families, and a collaborative team to foster academic, social, and emotional growth.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification Experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings Strong knowledge of IEP processes and compliance requirements Ability to adapt and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized and small group instruction in the resource room to middle school students Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and district policies Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development activities Foster a safe, positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth This role offers the satisfaction of helping students reach their full potential in an engaging and impactful setting.
