Key Qualifications:
Active Special Education Teacher certification in South Carolina Previous experience supporting students in a self-contained, special education setting. Middle school experience highly valued Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills Ability to develop and implement IEPs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Genuine enthusiasm for fostering academic and personal growth for middle school learners
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction to a self-contained classroom of students requiring additional support Assess student abilities, develop educational plans, and document progress toward IEP goals Employ differentiated teaching strategies, positive behavior supports, and intervention techniques Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support personnel, and families to address students' academic and behavioral needs Maintain compliance with all state and district regulations for special education documentation and reporting Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
Full-Time Schedule:
