9540120-29520 Job Description Make an immediate impact by working with young learners in a supportive and engaging school setting! We are currently seeking two dedicated Special Education Teachers to contract through the end of May 2027, working weekdays with children aged 5 to 8. You'll collaborate with a small caseload of fewer than 12 students, offering individualized support and making a real difference in their educational journeys. The contract begins as soon as possible, with full-time hours (37-40 per week) across five days, giving you ample time to build strong relationships and deliver meaningful instruction. Youll focus on providing direct instruction, implementing IEPs, and tracking progress, alongside a team of passionate educators and support staffall while enjoying the fulfillment that comes from helping children succeed.
Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina Teacher Certification in Special Education Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong ability to implement and manage IEP documentation Comfortable supervising classroom assistants Commitment to promoting an inclusive, positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, individualized classroom instruction based on IEP goals Collect data and monitor students academic and behavioral progress Complete and maintain accurate IEP paperwork Supervise and support classroom assistants Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams Adapt materials and teaching strategies to meet each students unique needs Complete other duties as assigned by school leadership If you are passionate about fostering growth and independence in young students, this is an excellent opportunity to shine.
