Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract This full-time Special Education teaching position is available immediately at a school in Clinton, SC. The role supports K-2 students in a self-contained classroom designed for young learners requiring specialized instruction. You will work Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, totaling 37.5 hours per week. This is an in-person contract position scheduled through May 29, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique learning needs of elementary students (K-2) with special education requirements Collaborate closely with two classroom aides to support the academic and social development of 8 students Implement and modify lesson plans to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals and standards Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with young children in a self-contained special education setting Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to supporting students' individual learning goals and social-emotional needs

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 3:30 pm
Contract Duration:
Immediate start through 5/29/26
