In this contract role, you'll deliver high-quality education and individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs. Collaborate with a supportive educational team and play a key role in guiding students toward their academic and personal goals.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education, or eligibility to obtain one Proven experience in a school setting as a Special Education Teacher Comprehensive knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to adapt instructional strategies to accommodate various learning styles and abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff and families Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver tailored lesson plans that align with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assess, track, and report on student progress to ensure goals are being met Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement modifications and accommodations Engage regularly with parents and guardians to maintain open communication regarding student progress and needs Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and faculty meetings as required Create a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and growth for all students Enjoy the opportunity to enrich students' educational journeys in a collaborative, resourceful environment.
