Desired Experience & Qualifications:

Active Special Education (SPED) certification in South Carolina required Demonstrated experience in a self-contained classroom or with students with severe disabilities strongly preferred Thorough understanding of IEP development, documentation, and implementation Ability to adapt curriculum and instructional methods to address a wide variety of learning and functional needs Strong organizational and communication skills Proficient in collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including general education teachers and related service providers

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized, specialized instruction to students with severe disabilities in a self-contained classroom Develop and revise lesson plans and classroom activities based on IEP goals and students unique abilities Foster a structured, supportive, and safe classroom environment conducive to learning Track and document student progress, reporting on academic, functional, and behavioral achievements Support students in developing life skills, communication abilities, and appropriate social behaviors Actively participate in IEP meetings to provide input and ensure effective implementation Engage and communicate with families and staff to support each students overall development Ready to take the next step in your teaching career while making a profound difference in students lives?
