9654772-29045 Job Description Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher working with preschool-aged children on the autism spectrum in a supportive educational setting near Elgin, SC. This is a full-time contract opportunity, with a schedule of 37.5 hours across five days per week, starting as soon as HR clearance is obtained and extending through May 2027. You will primarily serve as the Special Education Case Manager for a caseload of preschoolers (ages 3-4), with group sizes ranging from 4 to 10 students as needs evolve.

What Youll Bring:

Active Teacher Certification in the area of Special Education, as required. Skill and passion for working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, especially at the preschool level. Ability to manage and document IEPs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and communicate effectively with families. Experience or training in early childhood educationespecially within special education settingsis highly valued. Organizational skills and adaptability, as caseload size may vary throughout the assignment.

Acting as Case Manager for assigned students, overseeing all aspects of their Individualized Education Programs. Developing and implementing curriculum and behavioral strategies tailored to young learners with autism. Collaborating closely with instructional staff, therapists, and administrators to ensure a holistic educational experience. Engaging in parent communication, progress reporting, and routine assessments. Maintaining compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations for special education.
