Key qualifications and experience desired:

Valid South Carolina Special Education certification required Experience working with elementary-age students with mild intellectual disabilities preferred Strong ability to adapt grade-level curriculum to a diverse range of learning abilities Proven track record of developing and implementing IEP-driven instruction Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organization, documentation, and progress monitoring abilities Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and well-structured classroom environment Team player mentality with collaborative approach to working with general education staff, administrators, and families Primary responsibilities include: Delivering direct instruction within a core replacement setting for students with mild intellectual disabilities Aligning lessons and interventions with each students IEP goals and accommodations Tracking student progress, maintaining comprehensive records, and contributing to IEP meetings Collaborating with school personnel to create integrated supports for all learners Providing regular, positive communication with families about student growth Maintaining a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom culture Participating in school and district professional development as needed Bring your commitment and expertise to a school community committed to supporting the whole child.
