9681326-29342 Job Description Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a Special Education Teacher in an engaging, supportive school environment. This full-time, contract opportunity calls for a dedicated educator who thrives working with learners in a self-contained, LD (Learning Disabilities) classroom. Located near Gaffney, SC, the position offers the chance to impact students directly through onsite instruction, fostering academic and personal growth every school day.
Key Qualifications:
Certified in South Carolina as a Special Education Teacher (or currently pending certification status) Experience or strong interest in working within a middle school LD classroom setting Able to support students in a self-contained environment with individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Passion for helping students with diverse learning needs reach their full potential Available for full-time, onsite work (MondayFriday, 37.5 hours per week)
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction to middle school students with learning disabilities in a self-contained classroom Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and adapt curriculum as needed Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP development Work collaboratively with support staff, teachers, and families to create a positive, inclusive learning environment Provide behavioral and academic interventions catered to each student's requirements Participate in staff meetings and professional development as required by the school This meaningful role is ideal for an educator seeking to inspire students, foster independence, and contribute to a close-knit teaching community.
