Desired Qualifications and Experience:

Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support position, ideally within a school environment Demonstrated ability to engage positively with children, particularly in one-on-one settings Familiarity with special education, individualized education plans (IEPs), or related areas is a plus Patience, adaptability, and strong communication skills Professionalism and reliability, with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators and families

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized, direct support to assigned student(s), adapting instruction and assistance as needed Assist with academic tasks, social interactions, and personal care (as applicable) Implement strategies set by teachers and specialists to help the student reach their educational goals Help foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment Monitor and report on student progress and challenges to relevant staff members
