Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina certification in Special Education Experience teaching middle school-aged students, preferably in a self-contained setting In-depth knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and data-driven instructional planning Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and faculty Commitment to fostering inclusive educational practices
Responsibilities:
Guide a self-contained classroom for middle school students requiring special education services Design and implement individualized lesson plans aligned to IEP goals Monitor and report progress, making data-driven instructional adjustments as needed Maintain accurate, timely documentation to support compliance and best practices Collaborate with related service providers, support staff, and caregivers Support student social, emotional, and academic development in a structured yet nurturing setting This contract position provides a stable, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
