Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference for students in a supportive educational setting as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis, working with a dedicated team and truly impacting lives from now through May 27, 2027. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week and provides the chance to work closely with students needing specialized instruction, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth. Qualifications & Desired Experience Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university is required Valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) teaching license Proven experience or knowledge in special education methods and individualized instruction Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Passion for helping students achieve their maximum potential Key Responsibilities Provide direct instruction and support to students with varying exceptionalities in accordance with IEP goals Develop, adapt, and modify instructional materials and lesson plans to meet student needs Assess and monitor students' progress and adjust approaches as necessary Work closely with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to coordinate student support Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessment results, IEP progress, and communications Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and growth This contract role is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to start as soon as possible and remain through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
