For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description
- Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a genuine difference in the lives of students as an experienced Special Education Teacher, supporting multiple school sites in the Lancaster area.
Key Requirements:
Active South Carolina SPED Teacher License with appropriate multi-categorical or required endorsements Experience teaching in special education classrooms (elementary, middle, high school, and/or PreK preferred) Strong classroom management and communication skills Ability to adapt and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Endorsement or certification in Early Childhood Special Education (for PreK roles) Effective collaboration with colleagues, support staff, and families Flexibility to work onsite across multiple school locationsPosition Details:
Serve students in settings ranging from moderate to co-taught/resource rooms Elementary hours: 8:30am- 3:35pm Middle School hours: 7:30am
- 2:45pm High School hours: 8:30am
- 3:35pm PreK hours: 7:30am
- 2:00pm Weekly hours range from 35 to 37.
