Job Description

This school-based contract position offers rewarding experiences in diverse learning environments—ranging from elementary to high school and PreK—where your expertise as a Special Education Teacher will be instrumental in helping students thrive.
Desired Qualifications:
Active South Carolina Special Education Teacher License with Multi-categorical or appropriate certifications required Early Childhood (EC) certification or endorsement for PreK placements Demonstrated experience supporting students in moderate, special setting, co-taught resource rooms, or self-contained multi-category classrooms Commitment to collaborative, inclusive practices and adapting instruction to meet diverse learner needs Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff Passion for working with students with exceptionalities in elementary, middle, high school, or PreK settings
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate individualized instruction for students in settings including moderate, self-contained, resource, or co-taught classrooms Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to deliver IEP-driven instruction Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom community and implement positive behavioral supports Maintain thorough records, monitor progress, and regularly communicate growth with teams and families Adapt teaching strategies to maximize each student's potential Serve as an advocate for students, ensuring educational plans are followed and goals are met To apply: Please submit a blinded resume, copy of your certification(s), preferred age groups, and your availability for interview times.
