Key Qualifications:
Valid state certification in Special Education. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Special Education or related field. Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in school settings. Deep understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to develop and implement tailored lesson plans. Strong skills in collaboration with general education teachers, parents, and school staff. Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with current best practices in special education and classroom management.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct instructional support to students with varying disabilities in both individual and small group settings. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with student abilities and goals. Assess and document student progress, adapting strategies to ensure continued growth. Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, counselors, and other educators. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education. Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements, needs, and progress. Participate in professional development sessions and training opportunities as required.
