Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive preschool setting for the current school year. Step into a full-time contract role where you'll work in a self-contained classroom with a manageable caseload—currently fewer than 10 students, allowing you to provide individualized attention and support. This position is designed for dedicated educators passionate about early childhood special education and ready to start as soon as possible, continuing through the end of the school year. You'll be responsible for: Delivering specially designed instruction tailored to preschoolers' developmental and learning needs Creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Collaborating closely with families, service providers, and fellow educators Maintaining accurate student records and progress data Fostering a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment Adapting to potential caseload changes, as there may be adjustments if the preschool program is combined with the K-4 program (final details confirmed soon) Ideal candidates will have: A valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license (SC SLP License) Experience working with early childhood populations or preschool special education Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach Flexibility and motivation to adapt to shifting caseloads or program adjustments Commitment to fostering growth, independence, and a love of learning in young children This contract opportunity enables you to focus where your skills matter most—helping young learners reach their full potential in a caring, structured setting.
