Job Description

Make an impact in the lives of students by guiding and supporting learners with diverse needs! Experienced Special Education Teachers are needed for a contract assignment spanning the 20262027 school year, offering the opportunity to work with a variety of age groups across multiple school sites. With placements available in elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school settings, you may find a fit that matches your preferred caseload. Preferred candidates will hold a current South Carolina Special Education teaching license (SC
SPED LICENSE
). Please note, teachers hired through alternative pathways such as Teachers for Tomorrow are not eligible for this role. All teaching will be conducted onsite, ensuring meaningful, day-to-day engagement with students and colleagues.
Key Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license (SC
SPED LICENSE
) Previous experience supporting students with special needs in K12 settings Deep understanding of IEP development/implementation and progress monitoring Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities Include:
Delivering high-quality instruction and interventions tailored to each students IEP Managing caseloads at one of several schools (refer to the list and note your preferred position in your application) Working alongside general education teachers to co-teach or deliver resource services Collecting data, evaluating student progress, and amending plans as necessary Engaging with families and participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team activities Maintaining accurate records and documentation as required by school and district policies Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive student support This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week, onsite role offering rewarding experience in diverse school environments.
