Travel Pay:
Travel Rate (based on 40 hours): Hourly $15.09, Stipend (Lodging $560.00 + M&I $280.00) = $840.00

Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist special education teachers in implementing IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, and specially designed instruction for students with disabilities. Provide individual and small-group instructional support under the direction of the classroom teacher. Support students in inclusive, resource, self-contained, behavioral support, autism, and other special education settings based on assignment. Assist students with academic tasks, communication, social skills, behavior management, mobility, and daily classroom routines as needed. Reinforce instructional activities and interventions developed by the special education teacher and related service providers. Observe student performance and assist with collecting and documenting data related to academic, behavioral, and functional progress. Support classroom management by promoting positive behavior, maintaining a safe learning environment, and following established behavior intervention plans. Assist students with transitions between classrooms, activities, transportation, meals, and other school settings as required. Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and other school staff to support student learning and participation. Maintain student confidentiality and comply with applicable special education policies, procedures, and school requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant college coursework preferred. Previous experience working with children or students with disabilities is preferred. Ability to follow instructional plans, IEP accommodations, behavior support plans, and teacher direction. Possess effective communication, interpersonal, and classroom support skills. Skills and Competencies Commitment to inclusive education and equity. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff. Strong organizational, documentation, and progress-monitoring skills.
