9654180-29150 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a PreK Special Education Teacher, working with DD PreK students aged 3 years old. This position offers the chance to make a significant difference in early learners' lives in a dynamic school setting. You'll collaborate closely with families and fellow educators, providing tailored educational support to help each child reach developmental milestones.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Active South Carolina Special Education License with Early Childhood endorsements required Prior experience with early childhood or PreK students, ideally in a special education environment Deep understanding of developmental disabilities and best practices in individualized instruction Strong skills in developing and implementing IEPs for young children Ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication, patience, and organization
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, individualized instruction to PreK students (3-year-olds) with developmental delays Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and growth Develop and implement appropriate lesson plans aligned with students IEP goals Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families for holistic student support Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and tools to foster engagement and progress Monitor and assess student development and adjust plans as needed throughout the school year Maintain accurate records, including progress reports and compliance documentation This contract, 37.5-hour-per-week position runs through May 21, 2027, offering continuity and the opportunity to make a lasting impact.
