This contract role, set to begin immediately and extend through May 2027, involves working with a small, manageable caseload of students aged 58 years old. What You'll Bring:

Valid SC Teacher Certification required Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children with special needs Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and compliance Strong organizational and communication abilities Capability to supervise classroom assistants and collaborate with educational teams A passion for fostering growth, inclusion, and achievement among diverse learners

What Youll Do:

Deliver daily, individualized classroom instruction tailored to each students needs Develop and implement IEPs in alignment with federal and state guidelines Closely monitor student progress, maintain accurate data, and adjust strategies as necessary Manage all necessary IEP paperwork and participate in meetings Supervise the work of classroom assistants, ensuring a positive and effective learning environment Support students and families by maintaining open communication and offering guidance as needed Embrace other responsibilities that may arise in a dynamic, supportive school setting
