Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact every day by supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school environment. This contract position offers the opportunity to work with K-6th grade students in a variety of instructional settings—including resource, push-in, and pull-out models. With paraeducator support and a manageable caseload of 36 students, you'll be able to focus on creating individualized learning experiences that help every child reach their potential.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience working with elementary grade levels (K-6 preferred) Strong understanding of resource, push-in, and pull-out instructional models Proven ability to manage and prioritize a diverse caseload Collaborative approach working alongside paraeducators and other staff Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching practices

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction and interventions in various classroom settings Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students Work closely with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and support integration Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and related service providers Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that promotes growth and engagement Enjoy a regular weekday schedule, working Monday through Friday from 7:15am to 3:30pm.
