Key Qualifications:
Must hold (or be in pending status for) Special Education Teacher certification from South Carolina Experience working in a self-contained environment, particularly with learning disabilities (LD), strongly preferred Proven ability to differentiate instruction and manage a classroom that supports diverse learning styles Excellent communication and collaboration skills with an emphasis on fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Strong organizational and time management abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with learning disabilities Deliver engaging, adapted instruction in a self-contained LD classroom setting Assess student progress, adjust teaching strategies, and track data for ongoing development Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families to promote student success Maintain compliance with all state and federal special education laws and regulations Create a nurturing, inclusive, and structured classroom environment that prioritizes safety and respect
