Job Description

Job Summary Sprout is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic learning coach to join our elite team in supporting students with diverse learning needs in a clinical setting. This is a great opportunity for a teacher who only wants part-time hours, an education student, or a special education student. This candidate, if not a certified teacher, will work under the consult of a certified teacher to deliver one-on-one online curriculum to children on the autism spectrum who present with behavioral barriers to learning in their public school classrooms. Sprout's objective is to mitigate those barriers. A learning coach's job would be to deliver prescribed curriculum within the ABA setting, concurrently allowing the ABA team to treat the maladaptive behaviors. If desired, the learning coach will have the opportunity to work with parents to become Medicaid certified for after school transportation hours, transporting clients from their schools to clinic. This would NOT be a contracted Sprout responsibility; rather it would be a position worked out directly with parents. Responsibilities Help each student to work through public or private online learning curricula, modified for their needs by a certified teacher Complete documentation of learning hours and progress in accordance with state law Expected to take 2-3 hours / day. Slightly flexible in schedule, but looking for mid-morning instruction (10:30 - 1:30ish) Skills Demonstrated ability to use concise language, both written and verbal Demonstrated ability to use correct grammar and spelling Demonstrated ability to use K-3 math concepts (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, time, money) Understanding of professionalism in a healthcare setting (HIPAA, sensitivity to deficits and delays, objective reporting) Ability to break down Kindergarten through third-grade concepts when students do not understand the concept as presented in the curriculum Requirements Background in education or currently in an education or special education degree program Ability to pass an extensive background check Reliable transportation Reliable communication device
