Contract Duration:
43 weeks with possible extension
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00
PM Hours:
40 hours per week Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school district in Summerville, SC . This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction and support to students in Grades 4-6 . Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide specialized instruction tailored to students' academic and behavioral needs. Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation. Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment. Participate in IEP meetings and other school-related activities. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Special Education Teacher Active South Carolina Teaching License Special Education (SPED) Endorsement required Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills Experience working with elementary or middle school students is preferred Position Details 43-week contract with the possibility of extension 40 hours per week Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Supportive school environment Application Question(s): Do you have an active South Carolina teaching license with a Special Education (SPED) endorsement?
