Job Description
KinderCare is seeking dedicated Teachers for our Summerville center to nurture young children through play-based, developmentally appropriate learning. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging classroom, design daily activities that support social, emotional, and cognitive growth, and observe and document each child's progress. You'll build strong relationships with families through regular communication and collaborate closely with teammates in an inclusive, growth-focused culture. This position offers opportunities for training, career advancement, and meaningful impact on children's early development. Responsibilities Plan and lead developmentally appropriate, play-based lessons for young children Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones Communicate regularly and professionally with families about children's growth Collaborate with teaching team and center leadership on curriculum and activities Follow all state licensing, health, and safety regulations and Kinder Care policies Support inclusion and positive behavior guidance for all children Participate in training and professional development opportunities Required Skills Early childhood classroom management Lesson and activity planning Child development knowledge Observation and documentation of milestones Family and parent communication Health, safety, and licensing compliance Positive behavior guidance Basic computer and record-keeping skills First Aid and CPRCollaboration and teamwork in childcare setting
