9601189-29692 Job Description Step into a vital role supporting young learners by joining a dedicated team focused on empowering students with diverse needs. As a contract Special Education Teacher, youll be part of a collaborative environment at the elementary level, working alongside two other committed special educators. This extended resource/self-contained position serves grades K4 through 5th, offering the opportunity to influence students academic and personal growth each day. Youll guide between 8-12 students, both those who spend their full day in your classroom and those who join for targeted ELA and/or math instruction. An instructional assistant will support your work, allowing you to individualize instruction and foster a nurturing setting where every student can succeed. The assignment runs from July 17 through June 2, providing the perfect timeframe to make a meaningful impact.

Desired Experience & Skills:

Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience with resource or self-contained classrooms preferred Familiarity with modifying curriculum and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills with other teachers and support staff Patience, flexibility, and a student-focused mindset
