Position Summary

The Educational Aide provides instructional classroom support to general education students under the supervision of licensed teaching staff and building administration. This position assists with instructional activities, student supervision and classroom

management to support student learning and a positive school environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Daily Operations

Provide instructional support to students in individual or small group-settings as directed by the classroom teacher.

Assist teachers with the preparation and delivery of instructional materials and classroom activities.

Support classroom management and student engagement during instructional time.

Supervise students during non-instructional times, including lunch, recess, transitions, and school activities.

Assist students with organization, task completion, and study skills.

Support students with behavioral, social, and emotional needs using classroom-based strategies.

Assist with monitoring student progress and communicating observations to teachers.

Maintain confidentiality of student information in compliance with FERPA and District policy.

Support a safe, respectful, and structured learning environment.

Other Duties

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to work effectively with students of varying academic abilities.

Ability to follow teacher direction and instructional plans.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries with students.

Ability to support classroom organization and routines.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, sit, and move throughout classrooms and school buildings.

Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
