Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and assistance to individuals in need, could include bathing, dressing, and grooming depending on each member's needs.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are followed.
• Administer first aid and medication as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Implement behavior management techniques to support individuals with autism or other behavioral challenges.
• Create a safe and supportive environment for individuals, promoting their independence and well-being.
• Document and maintain accurate records of care provided, following HIPAA guidelines.
• Collaborate with Behavior Analyst to implement behavior plans and monitor progress.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in caregiving, serving members with IDD or related field helps.
• Knowledge of child care practices and techniques is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals with special needs or behavioral challenges.
