Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Interventionist supporting middle school students in a dynamic educational setting. This full-time contract role is perfectly suited for educators passionate about making a positive impact on students with unique learning needs. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment, working Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, providing critical interventions and guidance that shape student success.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education teaching certification with either a 144 or 145 endorsement Experience or strong interest in working with middle school students Deep understanding of special education laws, IEP development, and individualized instruction Excellent communication skills with students, colleagues, and families Ability to adapt instruction and strategies for diverse learners Organizational skills for maintaining accurate student documentation

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver differentiated instruction and interventions to meet each student's learning goals Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service providers Assess students' academic and behavioral needs, regularly tracking progress toward objectives Foster a nurturing, inclusive classroom climate that supports growth and achievement Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and strategies for support This contract role offers the satisfaction of developing meaningful relationships within the school community while empowering students to reach their full potential.
