This full-time, contract position focuses on serving students with diverse needs in a comprehensive development setting. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team to provide meaningful education and guidance, making a significant difference for students with moderate to severe challenges.
Qualifications:
Current Tennessee 461 Certification is required Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, especially in moderate to severe classrooms Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs) and implementing specialized instructional strategies Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families Commitment to fostering inclusion and advocating for student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute individualized lesson plans tailored to students' unique learning requirements Deliver instruction and support within a comprehensive development classroom Monitor and document student progress, modifying approaches as needed to ensure academic and developmental growth Collaborate with related service providers, general education teachers, and administrators Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide progress updates and support Create a safe, structured, and positive learning environment conducive to growth for every learner This contract role offers the chance to build meaningful relationships and guide students as they work toward their full potential.
