Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract If you're passionate about supporting students with special needs and have expertise in special education, an exciting opportunity awaits you! This full-time contract assignment runs for the entire school year and focuses on providing specialized instruction and support to students in a dedicated educational setting. Work alongside a team of professionals committed to making a difference in the lives of students every day. Multiple openings are available for certified Special Education Teachers. Candidates must hold the 461 endorsement and be certified to teach either Comprehensive and Mild/Moderate or Intervention caseloads.
Qualifications:
Valid teaching license with 461 endorsement required Certification in Comprehensive and Mild/Moderate or Intervention Proven experience in a special education classroom setting Ability to adapt instruction and support to meet the varied and unique needs of students Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families Organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain records effectively
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction according to students' IEPs Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff Monitor, measure, and report student progress toward IEP goals Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team planning Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and needs This role offers the chance to foster positive change and growth in students who need it most, all within a supportive school environment for the duration of the academic year.
