IEP Case Manager Location:
Tennessee Schedule:
Full-Time, Monday-Friday | 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and collaborative Special Education Teacher (Grades 6-8) to serve as an IEP Case Manager for a middle school program. This position is focused primarily on case management and student support services rather than direct classroom instruction. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, knowledgeable in special education compliance, and committed to supporting students in inclusive educational settings. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary case manager for approximately 95 Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations and timelines. Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings and communicate effectively with families, staff, and related service providers. Collaborate closely with general education teachers, special education teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs. Observe students within general education classrooms and collect data related to academic, behavioral, and functional performance. Provide consultation, coaching, and support to general education teachers regarding accommodations, modifications, and implementation of IEP services. Support students within the general education setting to promote academic success and access to the curriculum. Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and maintain accurate documentation. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with evaluation and reevaluation processes as needed. Qualifications Valid Tennessee Special Education Teaching License. Tennessee endorsement for Special Education Grades 6-8 (Endorsement Code 144-145).
