Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced Special Education Interventionist for a contract position serving middle school students. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, running from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. In this role, you will provide targeted instructional interventions to ensure student success and individual growth. Your expertise will help shape an inclusive, supportive environment, empowering students to reach their highest potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid certification with 144 or 145 Special Education Endorsement. Experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably at the middle school level. Strong understanding of IEPs and progress monitoring. Ability to collaborate closely with classroom teachers, aides, and related service providers. Passion for fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and small group instruction following students' IEPs. Collect data and use it to inform, adjust, and enhance interventions. Coordinate with general education staff, related service professionals, and families. Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation. Support students' academic, social, and emotional growth through evidence-based strategies. Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs.
