Were seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers for four onsite positionstwo at the elementary level, one in PreK, and one at the high school level. Each classroom is self-contained, providing an opportunity to make a direct and lasting impact on students academic and personal growth. Key qualifications to thrive in this role: Current Tennessee teaching license (required) CDC certification (Collaborative/Comprehensive Developmental Classroom) Endorsement 459, 461, or 105 Previous experience in a self-contained educational setting preferred Passion for individualized education and strong classroom management skills Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues What youll do: Lead and support a self-contained classroom, tailoring lesson plans to address varying needs and IEP goals Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Work closely with paraeducators, related service providers, and support staff Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured environment for optimal learning Maintain accurate records, reports, and communication with families and school personnel Engage in ongoing professional development and training as needed by the district or licensure This role is onsite from 8:00am to 3:00pm, providing stability and the chance to build real connections with your students and school community.
