Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Embark on an impactful contract assignment as a Special Education Teacher working with elementary students in a Life-Skills setting (K-4th grade) near Madison, TN. Serve a dedicated caseload of students (approximately 15, split between two teachers) and benefit from classroom paraprofessional support. Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification with the required 461 endorsement Previous experience teaching elementary students in special education or Life-Skills settings preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Ability to foster a supportive and positive classroom environment Collaborative skills for partnering with co-teachers, paraprofessionals, and families Effective communication skills for engaging with students and stakeholders
Key Responsibilities:
