Special Education Teacher in Nashville, TN

Job Description

Make an immediate impact supporting elementary students by stepping into a contract position as a Special Education Teacher. This opportunity allows educators to collaborate within a dynamic school community and work directly with students through an inclusion, push-in, and pull-out model. Two positions are available, making this a great moment to further your expertise and contribute to meaningful student growth. A strong candidate will bring dedication, adaptability, and a passion for fostering inclusive learning. With a start date as soon as possible and a contract running through December 19th, you'll be working a consistent 37.5-hour week across five days.
Qualifications:
Valid Tennessee Special Education Teaching Certification—required Experience serving elementary-aged students—preferred Knowledge of inclusion, push-in, and pull-out instructional models Strong collaboration and communication abilities Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide targeted instruction and support to students within inclusion, push-in, or pull-out settings Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and other specialists to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Monitor academic and behavioral progress, adjusting approaches as needed Foster a positive, encouraging, and engaging classroom environment for all students Maintain documentation and work in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams This role offers competitive weekly pay at $35-40 per hour.
