Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role as a Special Education Interventionist, making a meaningful impact with middle school students. This full-time contract position runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., creating a consistent schedule while engaging with a supportive school environment. You'll provide dedicated instruction and interventions, helping students achieve their fullest potential academically and socially.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid 144 or 145 Tennessee endorsement in Special Education Prior experience in a middle school setting highly valued Strong understanding of evidence-based intervention strategies Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Commitment to individualized instruction, classroom management, and collaborative team support Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted interventions for students with diverse learning needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate closely with general educators, support staff, and families to monitor progress and adjust strategies Maintain accurate records and progress reports in compliance with legal requirements Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive Use creative problem-solving to adapt materials and lessons as needed
