Job Description

Step into an engaging part-time opportunity serving a close-knit student community as a Special Education Teacher. Located near Arlington, TX, this contract position offers the chance to support K-12 students in a small school setting of approximately 150 students. With a schedule of 10-15 hours per week, you'll make a meaningful impact while keeping flexibility in your work week. The assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, starting 8/12/26 and concluding 5/27/27.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Texas Special Education Teacher certification (TX SPED) required Experience working with K-12 students in a special education setting Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Passion for making a difference in students' academic and personal growth Previous experience in a small school environment is a plus

Core Responsibilities:

Provide tailored instruction to students with varying abilities across K-12 grades Develop and update IEPs in collaboration with parents and staff Track progress and adjust teaching strategies to address individual student needs Work closely with general education teachers and support staff Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere Act as an advocate for students and encourage positive social and academic outcomes
