Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Teacher for our 2-year-old classroom , working from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. In this vital role, you will create a nurturing, engaging environment that promotes early childhood development through innovative lesson planning, classroom management, and personalized child care. You will serve as a leader among staff, communicate effectively with parents, and ensure a safe, stimulating atmosphere that supports each child's growth. Responsibilities Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored to toddlers' needs, incorporating literacy, math, physical education, and social skills. Manage daily classroom activities to foster a positive learning environment while maintaining safety and order. Utilize behavior management techniques to guide children's social interactions and emotional development. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety. Maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, child assessments, and classroom records. Support early intervention strategies when necessary to assist children with special educational needs or developmental delays. Experience Prior experience working with children in early childhood education settings, especially with toddlers or preschoolers. Knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management strategies. Familiarity with childhood development principles and early intervention practices. Experience teaching physical education or literacy education is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is encouraged.
