Make a meaningful impact working as a Special Education Teacher with a dedicated K-2nd grade life skills caseload for the upcoming academic year. This onsite opportunity offers a rewarding contract running from August 20, 2026, through June 3, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Youll provide focused, personalized support for a small group of students, helping them achieve their goals in both academic and life skills development.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid Texas Special Education (SPED) teaching license (required) Experience working with K-2nd grade students and life skills programs preferred Knowledge of implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families Ability to cultivate a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction to a caseload of four K-2nd grade students with life skills needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with state and district regulations Collaborate closely with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff Foster student independence in daily living and academic tasks Track progress and communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams Create a safe, supportive, and structured classroom environment
