Key Details:
Two open roles focused on life skills support: one in elementary (K-2nd grade, 4 students) and one in high school (HS, 5 students). Candidates with experience in both elementary and high school settings are encouraged to apply, as the opportunity for a combined assignment exists—with the potential for a continuous contract through the school year.
Typical schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM - 3:30 PM.
What We're Looking For:
Valid Special Education teaching certification (Texas or eligible for Texas). Previous experience with life skills programs is preferred, especially in K-2 (elementary) and/or high school settings. Strong behavior management skills and the ability to implement individualized education programs. Ability to cultivate a positive, supportive, and adaptive classroom environment. Flexibility to transition between two maternity leave roles as needed. Committed, reliable, and ready to make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging instruction to small caseloads, focusing on life skills and individualized student goals. Write, revise, and implement IEPs in collaboration with school teams and families.
