Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bilingual Certified Teacher I to join our educational team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction in a bilingual learning environment, support student academic growth, and create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom for all students. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish, holds the appropriate Texas teaching certification, and is committed to helping bilingual and multilingual students succeed academically and personally.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Current Texas teacher certification appropriate for the teaching assignment, including bilingual certification when required. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, guardians, and school staff in both languages. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a professional educational team. Must successfully complete a criminal background check. Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, if required by the employer. Must meet all applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging bilingual instruction aligned with Texas academic standards. Provide instruction that supports students' academic, language, and social development. Maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Assess student progress and maintain accurate educational records. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff. Adapt instruction to meet individual student learning needs. Support English-language development while maintaining appropriate academic expectations. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities. Follow all school, district, and Texas Education Agency policies and requirements. Maintain professional confidentiality and appropriate boundaries with students and families.
