Requirements & Preferred Experience:
Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement. Demonstrated experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a school setting. Deep understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance. Strong classroom management skills and adaptive teaching methodologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with students, families, and educational teams. Ability to assess student progress, tailor instruction, and track outcome data.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized instructional programs for students with disabilities, ensuring alignment with their IEP goals in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Differentiate lesson plans to address each learner's unique abilities and needs. Modify curriculum and use specialized resources to maximize student success. Work collaboratively with general education staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports and IEP records.
