Your role involves working collaboratively with K-12 students, school staff, and families to ensure every child receives an equitable, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Valid teaching certification for Deaf/Hard of Hearing education (state-specific credentials required) Proficiency in sign language and alternative communication methods Experience developing and implementing IEPs for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt strategies for diverse student needs and learning styles Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school setting preferred

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction, support, and advocacy for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing Develop individualized lesson plans and assist in creating accessible classroom materials Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure inclusive participation Engage with parents/guardians through regular communication and progress updates Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and make data-driven recommendations for supports or modifications Attend IEP meetings and professional development as required This rewarding opportunity lets you foster growth in a supportive, inclusive academic environment.
